Today’s the Day!
I didn’t sleep a wink. First I dreamed that K was waiting patiently to go but I was running errands and missed the whole thing. Then I was washing my hair in the back of the car and since there isn’t water, I had to run back home and so we were late.
It is 5:30 am. I’m up and ready.
K is sleeping soundly secure that Mommy will take care of everything.
This photo shows her as such a little baby. When did she grow up?
Wish me luck.
K starts school in 2 hours and 26 minutes.

Oh, this is a big day. Good luck!
Apparently it’s a big day for lots of cute little ones!
Hi Michelle,
I hope the day went well! My son started in school last year, today he went off to SK like an old pro. Funny, last year I was crying after I dropped him off and this year I was happy I got a day to work in total quiet, lol.
Rhea, big day. Went Well. Early bed for all. Thanks for commenting!
Jenna, I called K’s first/birth mom today after K got back from school. I’m not sure she remembered… Loved your post.
Hey Angela! thanks for the comment. I actually had fun while she was in school!
Everywhere I go in blogland, the mamas are talking about school! It’s such a nostalgic time, so emotional - I think we all feel it, even if our kids aren’t experiencing the “firsts.”
We brought our eldest to college in August, which unleashed a wave of memories and photo perusal. It was so hard to get a grip on the fact that the little guy with the brand-new backpack, grinning as we headed of to day one of kindergarten, is all but grown up. It just flies by.
The time flies by. Like Margie, we were getting two off to college.
Hope the rest of the first days go well.
