Time to GIVE! 2011 The Colorado Springs Independent

by Mid-Life Mommy on November 12, 2011

Help the Arts, Children, Animals or Environment

I’ts your choice.  Help all of them if you can. Everyone is in need.
My Gratitude List:

I’ve got it pretty easy even in this time of high gas prices, lower incomes and tougher budgets.  My income is lower than it used to be. I have to budget just like you, but my life’s pretty good. Simply put I have shelter, family, food, love, safety, health. I enjoy our town. We live in a beautiful place.  Lets keep it that way. If you enjoy hiking, biking, Garden of the Gods, or Cheyenne Canyon you’ve got a chance to support our local parks and environment. I never tire of the view.  I’m grateful for our town.
What about those who don’t have these simple things.  Some need some help from the cold this winter. Including children.  Some of my ex-foster children needed the help of  Greccio Housing.  We’ve had foster children though who benefited from CASA  or Fostering Hope.  I personally know people who’ve both served and eaten at the Springs Rescue Mission.  p

What Are You Grateful For?

If you are suffering, what can you be grateful for? Can you dig deep and help this year?

Now’s the time to GIVE!   This graph speaks volumes about what we support in Colorado Springs. The environment wins hands down.

Play a game with me. If you were going to give, which category would you contribute to?  Leave your comment below and we’ll see if readers agree with the environment.
