The Downside of Being Old

One downside of being an older mom:
K came to me today and asked:
“Are you old Mommy? ”
“Yes” I replied.
“Don’t go live with the angels Mommy, It’s not your turn.”

I can’t stand the possibility that someday, I won’t be here for her.
I hope I live to be 100 years old.

What is ‘Old’ to some is ‘Young’ to others.
Its what you DO with your life that counts.
I feel the same way. Unfortunately, we never know when it’s our turn. I hope that my husband and I can fill our daughter’s life with lots of memories to keep her warm when it is our time.
