My Mom on Mother’s Day

by Mid-Life Mommy on May 11, 2008

On this most prestigious of all days, Mother’s Day, you’d want to be with your Mom, but I can’t. My mom lives two plane trips away, in a town she grew up in and went to school in 60+ years ago.

Luckily, I’ll be with my mom in just a couple of weeks, when we’ll get to spend days and days together. But now that I’m a mom, I suspect that my mom cares a bit less about spending days and days with me, she wants to spend days and days with my daughter – her grandaughter!

So, Mum, Here is my mother’s day present to you!

I come in a couple of weeks and bring your grandaughter, and you’ll get to spend the days pushing the swing, playing in sand, and teaching her to read!

Happy Mothers Day Mum!

I found you through a blog directory. My mom also loves her grandchildren. She has 3 granddaughters who each think she is the best…and they are right!! Nice blog.
