Is it Menopause or the Toddler in the House?

by Mid-Life Mommy on July 9, 2007

My toddler K wants to swing, play dance.

I’m trying to work.

The phone keeps ringing and I’ve got a client waiting.

Anyone know where the keys are?

I went to visit my daughter and granddaughter at the week-end, my little one is just coming up to 21/2 and is utterly charming. I get to appreciate all the nice things about her that I didn’t have the energy for when I was being a mother;there were always too many things to worry about. Or maybe I see the world differently now? This probably isn’t any consolation as you fall into bed exhausted at night, but your daughter is blessed by the love that you now understand and the wisdom of your years. She, of course, blesses you with her presence.

Aye, toddlers are such hard work… just when we’re supposed to be enjoying them!
