My Hubby, “Bob†saw a Bobcat a few days ago, and told our daughter K that Bobcats only eat Bobs. Rather than being scared, K loved this concept and asked for the story ‘again and again’ of Bobcats eating Bobs.
So I made up a rambling story of the Bobcat walking through the woods asking each animal their name. - To the Squirrel, “Is your name Bob?†And to the Bird, “Is your name Bob?” And the bird replied, “No my name is Robin.”
The Bobcat was forced to wander long and far looking for food named Bob.
Bobcat then found a rabbit loudly munching grass . “Bobobobobobâ€.
The next sound heard was “Uum yumm yummy yumm yumm. Furry Tails!â€
Luckily, my Hubby was in the car and was able to drive off quickly before Bobcat asked his name.
And K wasn’t scared at all but wanted the story twenty-seven times before bed last night.
P.S. I dreamed of rabbits and dinner and good luck charms gone bad last night, but K slept soundly and asked for the furry tails story again this morning. I’m not sure of the spiritual lesson but I’m sure this story must have one so I’ve posted it here.
